My hair is turning auburn red from brown and I hate it, what can I do?

For some reason I am getting a red auburn tint to my medium brown hair and it looks terrible! Is there a way to get rid of it? I am going to the hair stylist tomorrow and I thought about asking them to dye it to like a golden blonde brown...any ideas?

buy a color you like that isa wash out so yu are not lifting the color of you hair out just putting a color in

The gold with the red may look too washed out. Try to go a little more brunette/ash colored. It worked for me.

I've been dying and bleaching my hair month after month for about 2 years now.

I'm ready to go pure white blonde.

Well, what I want is white blonde on top layer, jet black on bottom layer.

How can I get the white blonde?

My hair is currently dyed a medium auburn.

I already bought Shimmer Lights to take out brassy tones from bleaching. And I also have a blonde expressions shampoo, and MANY MANY oil menders as well as Hydra TLC shampoo to prevent dry damaged hair. Haha.

So to sum it up.

Ok, i have he same problem, I have dark dark brown hair, and i wanted blond, so i went to the store and bought a box of diye and i went home and put it in my hair, my hair turned orange! Haha! So I prefere going to a salon and getting it done there! good luck!%26lt;3

I find that vigorous shampooing with a shampoo that is not designed for dyed hair will get rid of the colour very quickly. Hang in there, this won't last long!

This happened to someone I know. Her hair turned red instead of the color on the box. It must just be your hair color. If it doesn't fade in a few days, go to your hair dresser and ask them to fix it.

Hey, the same thing just happened to me. I dyed my hair lastnight, and well, it's a little too dark for me! Anyways, answer one is correct, your hair will fade within a few days; plus, you'll get used to it.

Was your hair a really light colour before? Did you dye your hair a totally different colour from what it was before? If so, you're probably just not used to it. Within a few weeks, you'll get used to it.

I don't recommend you putting lemon juice in it because your hair could turn lighter than you want, but, if you really want to do that, then go ahead. Just remember, your hair colour will fade eventually!

Okay I have medium brown hair and I'm bleaching it with this herbal essences xl1 bleach blonde dye. I'm actually wanting it to turn out orange, is that likely? or is there a certain amount of time to leave it on to make it orange? I've been dyeing my hair for a while and I do it myself. you should be able to tell the lightness of the color as it sits in your hair the hair bleach usually goes through noticable stages, like red to orange and then like orange to l,ike yellowish blonde then to like blonde. good luck but like keep an eye on like the colors

I actually just used the herbal essences bleach blonde box kit a few days ago...before I had reddish light brown hair and wanted really pale blonde, so I did two applications of the box. The first time I did it, my hair turned light orange...the second time I did it, it turned out really light yellow...so it's a pretty good bleach out of all the drug store brands. Since urs is brown it'll probably turn orangey before it turns yellow...if u use it, keep checking every 5 minutes to see what shade its at..when its at the orangey shade u want, wash it out.

I am trying to figure out how to wear my hair for the big day! Hoping SOMEONE can help me out here. I have medium length hair about a little past my shoulder blades. It is brownish black I guess, lol. It does have some body to it but not ALOT as it can also be wavy but one again not a lot. My dress is a halter, so a few people have said not to wear my hair down. Leaving some hair down might make you neck look long but if it doesn't, go for it. Have a consultation with a stylist so they can have an idea of what to go for.
