How can you correct yellow/orange bleached hair?

Today my mom put Clairol Born Blonde All-Over Lightening on my dyed medium brown hair (i'm naturally a medium blonde). Well i left it on for 30 minutes and then decided to take it off because the strand test looked like a medium brown and i didn't want to damage my hair longer by leaving it on. When i washed it out it was appearant that my hair was orange. Since it has dried, it is a bright goldish blonde and quite fake looking. I would like it to look like a natural blonde, but i have no idea what to do and i don't have the money to go to a salon. Please help!

You can't get blonde hair without bleaching it. Putting blonde hair dye over your dyed brown hair will do exactly as you described. The best thing for you to do now is to go to a salon and have a professional do your hair. Don't put any more chemicals in your hair. Too many chemicals will damage it and could cause your hair to get frizzy or even fall out. It's NOT worth it to save a few bucks by doing it at home.

If you can't afford a salon, I would suggest buying color from the store that is similar to a dark ash blond. The ash will neutralize the gold and a darker shade will not lift the shade you have now, so it shouldn't fry your hair.
