I have naturally medium brown hair, that has gotten a little darker as I have gotten older. I also dye my roots about once every 2 weeks to cover greys. I would like to go to a light brown color. I am going to a salon, but wanted to know how damaging it is to do such a process. My hair is in great condition right now. Also....will the salon know how to do it without turning my hair orange? Also...I don't want hightlights. I want an overall color. Thoughts? Thanks!

going from light to day is tricky. to get it right you need to go from dark to blond then to the lighter brown that you want
