I have medium brown hair, dark brown eyes and pail skin. My hair is kinda frizzy and I would like to no how to make the frizz go away. I straighten my hair but don't blowdry it, would that help? I have bought de-frizzing serium but it only really works for a minute. I would love to have shiny, frizz free hair! 10 points to best answer!

I have the same type of hair as you. Definitely blow-drying your hair would work. Also, try this product, Fekkai, Glossing Cream. It is great!! Kind of expensive, but worth the investment.

Try frizz ease by John Freida. I've used that and it works. Bed head also makes a good anti-frizz serum. I'd personally buy ION anti-frizz spray from sally. It works great and is inexpensive.

I am young, 5:10, 32 inch waist, with a pretty muscular build. I have short, dark hair.

When I look at all the 'sexy' celebrity men - Orlando Bloom, Josh Hartnett... nope. They don't have straightened hair.

Yet, I have loads of really stick thin friends with medium, straightened hair - 'emo' style (fringe over one eye). Most of them have none of the traditional attractive features (upper body or thigh muscles, tans, even handsome faces) and yet, it seems they're always recieving more attention than I do (and it's not about personality, before you ask, since all they need to do is show some randomer a photo).

Would someone please tell me why?

Well, some girls prefer different kind of men. I don't necessarily love 'emo' guys, but I've never been a fan of big muscles. It just depends on what the girls want. Maybe you just don't hang out where the girls that like your look do?

I have extremely thick, curly, frizzy, knotty hair. I striaghten it 90 percent of the time, and it comes out good even though it takes a while. Well i want to get my hair cut like 2 inches (i have medium length hair now) but i was also thinking about maybe getting it thinned out? How much does this usually cost? It should be in the cost of a hair cut for you. all it involves is a pair of thinning shears, which are gapped to take out chunks of hair, I get mine thinned all the time, i am a hair dresser and have a ton of hair so every three weeks or so i let someone hack into it, lol. good luck!

hi:) im not sure how much it costs, but my hair is realllllyyyyy realllllllyyyy thick too and i get it thinned. it works sooo good i love it when its thinnnnn! i ask my hairdresser to thin it out A LOT though, so i dont know if you want it just a little thinned or not...but yeahhhhh its so much lighter and easier to handle when its thin :) hope that helps!

i bought some thinning shears and i do my own hair!! its awesome. i have really thick hair and i just cut out over half of it, and its perfect now. but it should be free with your hair cut, just say you want it thinned a bit.

I do the same thing every time I get a haircut. I don't think it is extra with a haircut. If I were to come in between a cut to get it thinned I think she charges about $5 or so. When I was a thinning virgin I unknowingly let someone do it that wasn't experienced. By the time she was done you could see through my hair....I didn't let this ruin the benefits of thinning it out though. After I recovered from the initial whack job I went to some who knew what they were doing. It saves me drying time, shampoo and conditioner, and styling time!

Walk around and look at people and speak to some one who you like their hair....ask them where they got their hair done and go in and talk to the stylist and see what she suggests for you .....you do not have to do it right there and then, just have a consultation with the hairdresser....maybe you can not afford what she is suggesting right now. I used to do a mixture of reds browns and blonds on clients with mousy brown hair......they looked great!

I own a chi hair straightener, (Some people have told me that its awful, some have told me its great, but I own it so thats the one I'm going to use.) and I would like to know what products I should use and what steps I should take to straighten my thick, curly, medium length hair.

I have tried straightening my hair with the chi once without using any products, and my hair was very straight but it looked quite dry.

I own Sebastion Potion 9 Leave In Conditioner and Matrix Sleek Look Smoothing System Iron Smoother. I bought the iron smoother with my chi because the lady at the store reccomended it. I bought the leave in conditioner at a later date at a different store, and the lady there said that it is good to use with a flat iron and she tried it out with a bit of my hair and at the time it looked nice.

I use Head and Shoulders shampoo and I use dove conditioner.

I'm also wondering if I should use serum gloss when I'm done straightening my hair to make it look shiny.

use the leave in conditioner when ur hair is wet, and before u straighten it, it take out the extra oil, rather than the oil in ur hair.

i use a n oil for my hair when starightning it, the thicker the better.

I use a little leave in conditioner after I shower then I usually blow dry my hair to start, not perfectly straight or anything but at least so it gets the idea of being semi-straight. After straightening if your hair looks really dry I'd use a serum gloss stuff, it really is the only thing that makes a difference when your hair looks crispy.

well, i have naturally wavy/curly hair and i use garnier fructis style hard curl gel and aussie moist leave-in creme. i don't have straight hair so i wouldn't know what to do. But you can't use just gel, if you want some luck with curling it you have to use curling gel. I can't straighten my hair, so its very hard for someone with straight hair to curl it.

i would recommend Paul Mitchell's extra strong mouse,

try braiding it in sections and allowing it to dry, that will produce a wave. then you can touch up the ends with a curling iron and hairspray it . if you have straight hair and very little natural wave, you may want to consider a body wave perm, but it to has draw backs like leaving your hair dry and brittle. so then you need more moisture in the shampoos and conditioners.
