I dyed my hair medium brown from blonde about a year and a half ago and have kept dying my roots ever since. Now I'm getting fed up of dying it and my hair is looking damaged so I want to go back to blonde the easiest and least harmful way possible. I am a student and can't really afford anything expensive at a salon!

there is a clairol (i believe) haircolor that has three tones. use the blond one. it will be closest to your natural color and will be less of a noticable difference when your roots grow out again

that is good that you want to have healthy hair again. you could round up ur holiday money and go to the salon. you could buy a kit from the drug store that you dye your hair yourself.

Blondissima is a great do it your self blond for people who have dark hair. Once your natural colour starts to grow out, keep having your hair trimmed every six weeks. Eventually you will cut out all the damaged/dyed hair.

it's not a good thing to dye your hair if you already have dry or damaged hair. buy hair dye from stores, choose the hair colour closest to your blonde. but if your current hair colour is really dark, it might not go back to the original blonde. in fact, once you've dyed your hair, it would be hard to dye it back to your original colour.

You can go to any salon and tell them that you want to get it low lighted and dyed back to your natural color and they can get it back to your exact color.

Thats what I had to do.

I dyed mine black then I went to a little shop to get it turned back but they turned it orange and wouldnt fix it.

Then I went to a Salon in the Mall of Baton Rouge and told them i needd it low lighted.

They stripped out the orange and got my exact natural color back.

i would say just bleach it, if you want to go on the cheaper side. i dont know what kind you should use, but thats mainly cause i have my friend do my hair... she's pretty damn good too. as for product names... i dont know
