Has anyone used Lush's Rouge hair henna? I did a strand test last night, and left it on for 6 hours. I have medium brown hair, and there was no change. I was wondering if maybe the shampoo rinsed it off, or if I just did it wrong.
Hair Henna?
Me and my mom, and her friends all get henna either from the 'indian store' or we get it from back home in ethiopia/eritrea and while it doesn't drastically change ur hair color it does give it a definate red tint - and our hair is blackish in color, so it definately should've shown up in ur hair. I think maybe that brand uses some sort of diluted, synthesized version of henna. also if its 'hair henna' that u bought then maybe its only function is just a strengthening and moisturizing treatment, because pure henna can be and usually is used both on hair and skin(tatoos) -its a multi-purpose dye. look around for indian or ethiopian markets and ask the people that work there for henna.
hope that helps :)
oh, and just to be sure keep the henna in ur hair over night and wash it out in the morning.
Hair Henna?
I've not used Lush's one, but I have used different brands of henna. It can come out quite subtle, but I never left it on that long before!! Maybe your hair's just too dark to take it? Sounds odd though if you left it on for 6 hrs and no change...
